Today, know Spirit as the Great Sanity. Love enforces clear thinking, balance, and an ability to see the truth about yourself, others, and situations. Love counters fear, self-justification, ignorance, superstition, and self-centered blindness. Today, feel the presence of Love in your life and interactions, promoting sanity and courage.
Today, know that you are Love itself being. You are Love knowing. You are Love moving. You are Love hearing. You are Love's form.
Today, I pray, "May I understand what is important." May I have Love's priorities. May I be defended from distraction. May I be defended from misleading superstition. May I be gentle and kind with myself and others. May I be discerning about where my attention rests and what is really needed. May I feel Love supporting me in these goals.
Today, instead of focusing on your chatty mind, even with its noble efforts to reason spiritually and be good, slow down and feel. Breathe. Concentrate on the wordless presence of Mind and Love. It is this feeling of the divine Presence, it's inspiration and wisdom and stability, that is the best communicator - both to ourselves and others.
Today, focus on integrity. In addition to strong morals, integrity means to be whole, sound, undiminished. Today, know that Love has made you with integrity: you are whole and sound and undiminished. Love's integrity is manifesting in your mind and body and feelings. Practice speaking and interacting with integrity by being honest, serving your highest intentions, accepting responsibility, and apologizing if appropriate. Recognize that Love also made other people with integrity, with soundness and wholeness, and speak to the integrity in them.
Some of us feel much more comfortable giving love than receiving it. But if we want the love of Love to flow freely through us, we must practice accepting love. This might be as literal as graciously and gratefully accepting gifts, compliments, and help, instead of feeling unworthy or self-conscious or too dependent and resisting them. This might mean pausing to feel Love's unconditional love pouring over us, in spite of our faults and failures. We don't have to change ourselves before we are worthy of blessing. Today, know that for Love's love to flow unhindered through us--and to be able to fully love others--we must accept love that is given to us, in all its many forms. Practice.
Today, instead of feeling frustrated by your mind - for all its repetitions and fears and misconceptions and anxieties - send it unconditional love. Be grateful for all it does for you. Know that it is doing its best. Feel Love loving it, soothing it, whispering comfort and wisdom, teaching. It will not improve with beatings, only with gentleness, encouragement, a recognition of its good intentions and strengths, and guidance which comes with true appreciative love.
