Remember a time when you showed up for a friend in crisis. You were open-hearted and attentive in listening for what that person genuinely needed - and generous and loving in your efforts to support. Can you bring those same qualities to your relationship with yourself? Can you listen for what you genuinely need? Can you do your best to meet those needs with love and kindness, without judgement and with tenderness? Today, show up for yourself.

Today, know that you don't have to earn love, approval, or acceptance through accomplishment. Know that you are Love's accomplishment, just as you are.
Today, feel Love blessing you: touching you with kindness and affection, meeting your needs, bringing richness and satisfaction to your life. Know that you a blessing. That is your nature. And you don't have to try so hard - you were made to be blessing. Accept blessings coming to you from others, whether help, kindnesses, or compliments.
Today, pause and consciously feel Love touch the small things in your life: give gentleness to an interaction with someone, help you make nourishing choices for a meal, inspire you to reorder your day, lead you to your lost keys. There is nothing too small to be touched by Love.
Feeling Love in the small things will not diminish the Love you need for the big things because Love increases with use. Applying Love to the small things will not steal from others struggling with big things, because Love is not a limited supply. Experiencing the presence of Love in small things increases our trust, refines our character, gives us a firm, stable foundation to handle the big things and to be of real use to others. |
