Today, be humble. Don't be shy - and do be generous - about all that you know and have contributed. At the same time, have the curiosity and resilience of little children who do not define themselves as experts, but joyously and eagerly learn, without fear of failure or judgement.
For many of us, especially as we grow older, our sense of worth comes from being a skilled expert. This can mean that trying something new, learning something new, feeling like a beginner, being presented with a new way to approach our work, allowing others to be experts, or receiving constructive feedback can feel like a threat to our identity.
Today, be humble. Don't be shy - and do be generous - about all that you know and have contributed. At the same time, have the curiosity and resilience of little children who do not define themselves as experts, but joyously and eagerly learn, without fear of failure or judgement.
