Went over to V.s tonight. Bill was there and told us all about the spree he went on down at Atlantic City. He is a damn fool - or maybe I am. Time will tell. Mrs. Scott went up to the farm today. When she came home she said something about Lester - right away I walked out of the room. She is odd. She hates Lester as much as I but yet uses the compact he gave her - and until lately wore his bracelet whenever Mrs. and Mr. Devoe came over. Could I do that - no - women are funny - no - unreadable.
This is the journal of Virginia Lee Scott, my grandmother, written when she was seventeen and first dating my grandfather, John Arnold Wilson. It's a dairy published by Media Drug Stores and includes space for two entries per day, with facts about the era printed at the bottom, which I have included in italics. Following, 1928, is the journal of John Arnold Wilson, my grandfather, at age nineteen and in love with my grandmother, followed by my grandmother's journal in 1931.
