COIL - A tube made of insulating material wound with insulated copper wire. The winding can be wound in a layer or banked. (See Bank Winding.)
CONDENSER - Two or more sheets of metal separated by an insulator, called the dielectric, which form a collector of electrical energy. Condensers are made in two forms, fixed and variable. The abbreviation is Cond.
CORE - The center or innermost part of an electromagnet. It usually consists of soft iron wire or strips forced inside of the primary winding of transformer. (See transformer.)
