Today, think of life like a class you enjoy: one in which you are eager to learn, patient with your bumps and setbacks, joyful about what you are gaining; one in which your divine Teacher respects and delights in you and offers you just what you need to grow and be successful.

Today, feel Love bathing every cell, every molecule of your body. Imagine it like sunlight or soothing honey or a warm bath. Feel Love embracing not just your body but your nature, your essence, your being, your self. You are held and bathed in Love.
Today, honor rest and down time. For those of us who have depression in our family backgrounds, we may equate inactivity with depression. We try to outrun depression with activity. If we have perfectionistic and anxious tendencies, we may equate inactivity with laziness and falling behind. We believe only constant work can keep us productive and successful.
In reality, rest and down time is a gift. It is an opportunity to listen to Love. It is space for feeling those feeiings we may have been ignoring and letting joy enter. It is an opportunity to practice trust in a power greater than ourselves. It is a chance to recharge, which results in more creativity and a clearer perspective. |
