Today, feel Love as a real presence, a weight, a sweetness - able to reach anything in you in need of soothing.
When I was a kid, we bought honey in bulk in an enormous white bucket. When our little container on the table was empty, my father went to get the bucket. When he was leaning over to put some honey on my cereal, he inadvertently tipped the bucket and honey slowly poured onto my head. Although the honey was not easy to wash out, at the moment, it was a smooth, heavy, golden sensation. My mother used to use that same honey to soothe our sore throats. This morning, in prayer, I felt Love present, like that honey, substantial, golden, pouring into all the places in me in need of comfort and soothing.
Today, feel Love as a real presence, a weight, a sweetness - able to reach anything in you in need of soothing.
