The problem with those opinions, even positive ones, is that they lock others in a narrow definition of who they are. The opinions may not be accurate. Even if they have truth in them, they blind us to others' fullness, complexity, richness, contradictions, vulnerabilities, and capacity to grow and change.
We are likely to turn that same judging, simplifying mind on ourselves and hide from ourselves our own fullness and capacity.
