“Dreams come to us from a divine source. If we follow them, they lead us back to a divine source. When we work toward our dreams, we are working toward our God. In reaching for guidance about our dreams, we are reaching toward God. Our dreams are not futile. They do not spring from our egos. They have their roots in our soul.”
“Many times, success comes through unseen doorways. When conventional routes have been exhausted, success steps forward, wearing an eccentric cloak . . . [A] friend of mine is a minister. He warns against depending on one source for your well-being. ‘God has a thousand ways to meet you,’ he says. 'When you make one person or place the source of your lucky break, you are denying the power of God who can work from many corners.’”
And this quote from Arthur Miller: “Art is only a means to life, to the life more abundant . . . In becoming at end, it defeats itself.”
Today, recognize the holy source of our dreams. Today, recognize that the dream, no matter what it is, is really for a more abundant life - for freedom, trust, wellness, love, expression, trust. If we understand that, we won't make a god of the form of the dream or miss the dream when it arrives wearing different clothes.
