Today, notice, and then let go of, all the ways you are judging yourself. Let go of your self criticisms about your emotions. Accept the full range of your feelings. Notice your feelings, treat them tenderly, and let them move through. Let go of your self-criticism about not living up to impossible standards. Be realistic about what you can accomplish today and, at regular intervals, give yourself kind compliments and words of encouragement.

Noticing feelings, not judging them, and behaving tenderly towards ourselves, are profoundly valuable messages for those of us who have felt less than enough to be in this world. Shame is attracted to criticism, like flies to ----. Thanks for the reminder, Tarn!
