For many of us, the source of most sabotage in our lives is not other people, but our own, often subtle, beliefs about ourselves. Today, claim your Love-bestowed strength, wisdom, capabilities, and clarity of thinking. Trust this identity. Let Love handle, with thoroughness and efficiency, any thoughts that would argue otherwise.

Carolyn Foster is a life coach, workshop and retreat leader, and inspirational speaker.
Here is her coaching tip for January: "The trouble with the convention that January 1 marks a New Year -- significant, worth capitalizing -- is that we think things now have to be different in a big way. We'll meditate daily, go to the gym three times a week, clean out that closet. I like the poet Rumi's wisdom: "Today, like every other day, we wake up lonely and scared." He goes on to suggest, "Let the beauty we love be what we do." The beauty of a single day is that there is only so much that can fit in it. No matter how you woke up today, don't make big plans. Find the beauty in this day." In Legacy of the Heart, Wayne Muller writes:
All healing is available to us just as we are--not when we are old enough, or more evolved, or free from the difficulties of being human. Healing comes when we are able to meet ourselves and others, just as we are, with unconditional appreciation, gratefulness, and compassion. Today, practice turning over every concern, no matter how large or small, to Love. Let Love hold them while you rest. Trust Love to attend to your cares with wisdom. Feel Love's tenderness toward you.
Today, inspired by the teaching and phrasing of Buddhist monk Thich Naht Hanh, say to yourself over and over, "Darling, I love you just as you are."
